Welcome to St Anne’s Catholic Academy
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff to share this commitment

Principal Sarah Hubbard
Welcome to St. Anne’s Catholic Academy. I hope you find our website informative and reflective of life here at St. Anne’s.
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important responsibilities you undertake. Our mission is to make Jesus Christ known to our children by leading them on their journey of faith: by respecting the uniqueness of each individual child, pursuing excellence in all that we do and working in partnership with parents and the wider community.
We are a school and a church community, a family, promoting core gospel values of compassion, respect for self and others, responsibility and honesty. This is embedded through our faith in God and salvation in Jesus Christ.

Senior Executive Principal Sinead Smith
On behalf of the Holy Spirit MAC, I extend a very warm welcome to you.
St. Anne’s Catholic Academy has been on a journey of transformation to become the amazing school it is today. It is no secret that St. Anne’s spent many years being judged by OFSTED to be a failing school but that all changed when Mrs Hubbard became Principal and, working alongside colleagues in the Holy Spirit MAC, led the staff and community to settle for nothing but the best for the children at St. Anne’s. This was recognised by OFSTED in November 2021 when St. Anne’s was judged to be a GOOD school!
St. Anne’s is at the heart of thriving and unique local and parish community. Staff at St. Anne’s enjoy strong relationships with parents and the wider community. Together, the community shares a relentless drive to ensure the quality of education offered to every child is the best it can possibly be. However, we know that education is about so much more than formal learning in the classroom and so to secure excellent academic standards, we ensure children benefit from a broad and varied range of learning opportunities. From theatre trips to getting hands on with our charities and social action projects, children at St. Anne’s are supported on their journey to becoming productive citizens.
St. Anne’s is a member of the Holy Spirit MAC. As a family of schools, we work together to consistently improve the quality of education for every child in our schools. Staff and children at St. Anne’s benefit from high quality collaboration with colleagues and peers from other schools and this enables us to be continually outward facing and striving for improvement. The children in each of our schools know they not only belong to the school community but they also enjoy being part of our Holy Spirit MAC family.
As a Catholic MAC, we unashamedly proclaim our faith and we guide children to have a deep and fulfilling relationship with Jesus. The prayer life of our schools is incredibly important and children regularly participate in collective worship, both within school and by attending Mass at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. We enjoy strong links with the wider parish community and so when a child becomes a member of the school community at St. Anne’s, they also become a member of the parish family.
