Easter Bonnet Parade 2025
Easter Bonnet Parade Brings Springtime Joy to St. Anne’s!
St. Anne’s was bursting with colour, creativity and Easter cheer as we held our much-loved Easter Bonnet Parade this week – and what a spectacular celebration it was!
Children from across the school proudly took to the playground in their handmade Easter bonnets, each one a unique and joyful expression of springtime spirit. From bunnies and chicks to eggs, flowers, and even miniature gardens, the imagination and effort on display were simply incredible!
It was wonderful to see the whole school community come together to celebrate the season of new life and hope. Families lined the playground to cheer on the children as they proudly paraded their creations, smiling from ear to ear. The excitement was contagious and the atmosphere full of laughter, music, and sunshine.
Staff had the tough job of picking a few standout bonnets – no easy task with so many amazing entries – but every child who took part should feel incredibly proud. The parade reminded us once again of the creativity and community spirit that makes St. Anne’s such a special place to be.
A huge thank you to all the families who supported their children in designing and making their bonnets, and to everyone who came along to enjoy the fun. We hope you enjoy looking through the photos below – they’re guaranteed to make you smile!
Happy Easter from all of us at St. Anne’s! 🌼🐇✝️
Foodbank at St. Anne's
Supporting Our Community – St. Anne’s and the MAC Foodbank
At St. Anne’s School, we believe in the importance of looking after one another – not just within our school, but across the wider parish community too. That’s why we’re so proud to be regular contributors to the Holy Spirit MAC Foodbank, which supports vulnerable families across our schools and parishes.
Every week, our pupils, staff and families come together in generosity and kindness, donating food, toiletries, and household items to help those in need. From tins and cereal to pasta, nappies, and snacks – every single item donated makes a real difference to a local family going through a tough time.
We’ve been blown away by the thoughtful contributions and the enthusiasm with which our children get involved. Some classes have even taken the lead on themed collection weeks and made posters to encourage donations across the school!
The MAC Foodbank is a vital service for so many, and it’s heartwarming to see our school family come together with compassion and purpose. Through this work, our children are not only learning about the values of service, empathy, and charity – they’re living them.
Thank you to all of our wonderful families who continue to support this initiative. Your generosity and community spirit truly embody the St. Anne’s way.
Together, we are making a difference – one donation at a time.
Fr. Hudson Caritas Pledge £1.00
The spirit of giving was alive and well at St. Anne’s School as staff and pupils came together in support of the Fr. Hudson’s Caritas Pledge £1.00 Appeal – and what better way to raise money than with cake!
Each class got involved in organising a series of delicious cake sales, with tables piled high with homemade cupcakes, brownies, cookies and sweet treats of every kind. Our school hall was transformed into a bustling bakery as pupils, parents and staff queued up to sample the amazing bakes on offer.
Every cake sold brought us closer to our goal, with children proudly pledging their pounds and understanding how even small donations can make a big difference to people in need. The fundraising event gave us a lovely opportunity to talk to pupils about the work of Fr. Hudson’s Care, and how it supports individuals and families facing hardship in our wider community.
Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our school community – and the hard work of our mini bakers and their grown-ups – St. Anne’s raised an incredible amount to support the appeal, showing once again what we can achieve when we work together for a good cause.
A huge thank you to all those who donated cakes, spent their pennies, and helped out behind the scenes. Your kindness and community spirit continue to inspire us all.
Well done, St. Anne’s!
