Sharn Eggleton
Sharn Eggleton
Sharn Eggleton has been a valued member of the Office Administration team at Our Lady and St Joseph Catholic Academy since April 2022. With a strong foundation in finance and over 14 years of experience in delivering exceptional customer service, Sharn has consistently provided expert guidance while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Her transition into the education sector was driven by a desire for new challenges, and she has since dedicated herself to supporting the families and children at OLSTJ. As the Attendance Champion, Sharn has played a key role in fostering strong relationships with families to minimise barriers to attendance and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive in their education.
In addition to her focus on attendance, Sharn also organises school trips and visits, providing students with valuable opportunities to learn and explore beyond the classroom.
Outside of her professional role, Sharn is a busy mum to two children—a thirteen-year-old football enthusiast and an eight-year-old dance lover. Her family keeps her and her husband on their toes, and they wouldn't have it any other way.
Sharn is excited to take on the role of Clerk to the ESC Committees and looks forward to embracing this new challenge with enthusiasm and dedication.

,
I was born in Poland on 26th April 1979 into a Roman Catholic family. I hold a Master's Degree in Polish Literature (2003) and have been married since 2006. My husband and I have three children: Agata (born 2008), Kacper (born 2009), and Maria (born 2016).
Since 2012, I have been working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school in Coventry and also teach pre-A level students at the Polish Saturday School in Coventry. I am actively involved in my parish community at St Anne's RC Church in Nuneaton, where I support the Children's Liturgy through guitar playing and singing.
In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, cycling, and reading.

Joan HaywoodFoundation Governor
Joan Haywood
For over 25 years, I have been committed to supporting communities facing disadvantage in Bedworth, Nuneaton, and Coventry. Much of my work has focused on transforming community centres into safe, welcoming hubs that provided essential services for people experiencing poverty, homelessness, domestic abuse, addiction, and other challenges.
I am deeply passionate about equality of opportunity. One of my proudest achievements has been attracting Into University to Coventry, enabling young people to overcome barriers and aspire to brighter futures. I have a strong track record of building partnerships between organisations and communities, ensuring collaboration delivers meaningful, lasting change. To underpin this work, I gained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Social Enterprise.
Earlier in my career, I worked with two national charities, where I delivered parenting programmes, partnered with schools to reduce exclusions, and managed home-visiting teams. This work was recognised through a visit from HRH The Princess Royal.
Now retired I am fortunate to spend much time with my husband, children, and grandchildren. In my free time, I am an enthusiastic hill walker, which brings me energy and balance. I am an active member of Our Lady of the Angels.
