Catholic life is central to our school life. Our children are committed to the Catholic life in our school. They think of, pray for and show compassion to others in our community and the wider world. We encourage regular fundraising for many different charitable organisations such as CAFOD, Macmillan Cancer and The Good Shepherd appeal. Our Catholic life defines who we are as followers of Christ. We walk in His footsteps and follow his example by continuing his work through our lives.
How we follow in the footsteps of the Lord...
At the heart of our school lies our mission statement 'Love God, Love Learning, Love One Another'. In everything that we do, we remember that we are blessed and we stay true to our mission. We Love God and know that He loves us unconditionally. We show Him and others our love by following in the footsteps of Jesus, His beloved son.
We Love Learning through celebrating the gifts and talents God has given us. We show this every day by learning in our classrooms, a holy place to learn the skills we need to fulfil our true potential; to go and do God's will; to be who God created us to be. We will then go out into the world and put our God given talents to good use by doing His work.
We Love One Another. We are a school family with Christ at the centre. We are a community, we are a world and in this world, that God created for us, we put our love into action by letting His love flow through us. We show this by loving one another as Jesus loved us. We will go out into the world and let His love show through us.
Jesus Christ is 'the way, the truth and the life' (John 14:6). We promise that we will walk in His footsteps, we will walk hand in hand and they will know we are Christians by our love. We want to reach out to others by being like Jesus. This is ultimately how we show that we Love God, Love Learning and Love One Another. This is the way we live our lives as Catholics.
